Philodendron Congo Rojo is a bold, self-heading Philodendron that grows in a spreading, upright form rather than trailing or climbing like most Philodendrons. Its large, glossy, dark green leaves are thick and dramatic, held close together on a central stem. New leaves emerge in a deep reddish-bronze before maturing to deep green — a color show that repeats with every flush of growth. The reddish-pink stems give the plant a striking intensity that makes it look as good in a modern interior as a lush tropical one.

Good for beginners? Yes. Congo Rojo is one of the most easygoing large Philodendrons you can grow. It tolerates a range of light conditions, communicates clearly when it needs water, and grows steadily with minimal fuss.

Safe for cats and dogs? Philodendrons are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.

Light needs: Bright to medium indirect light produces the fastest growth and the most dramatic leaf size. It tolerates lower light but the reddish tones in new growth are less vivid. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the glossy leaves.

Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep them glossy. Give it room — Congo Rojo spreads outward as it grows and can reach 2 to 3 feet wide.

Ships fresh from one of our two greenhouse locations in a nursery pot. Covered by our 30-Day Plant Guarantee — if it arrives damaged, we replace it. Free shipping on orders $149+.

Fixes flats and old tires like a charm
Style: 1 gal
This stuff is awesome. If you have tractor tires, ATV tires, bike, tires, hell, any tires that hold air. This stuff is awesome. Awesome. Awesome. It does not work for highway vehicles, i.e. Cars and truck trucks. But anything else it’s great. Dollies, air compressors, wheelbarrows, the stuff is awesome dude.

slime is and has always been amazing for bike tires and other small pneumatic tires
Style: 1 gal
this is a great value, I have been using slime in my tubes of my bikes and a small inflatable pneumatic tires for probably 30 years, and I can say slime has only improved, and it works fantastic, this is a very good way to save money, and it works great on goat heads and several other ways your tires can get punctured, I still always recommend carrying a small air compressor or pump, but for the price point you just cannot beat slime, every bike shop should always carry this.

What was left in the bottle worked great. However, the cap was off of the jug when I opened the package. Ididn't have enough for the other tires.
